Company Sfinks Polska, the owner of restaurant chains Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło, has signed a new contract with PepsiCo - the current supplier of soft drinks. During this 5 year contract PepsiCo will provide sodas, juices and water to all chains of restaurants managed by Sfinks. The value of the contract during this period is estimated at 25 million zł.

Sfinks Polska Capital Group – which manages the Sphinx, WOOK, and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains – achieved a consolidated sales revenue of PLN 170.7 million in 2011, which means an increase of 5.7% compared to the previous year. During the whole twelve months of 2011, the group earned a gross profit on sales of PLN 8.8 million, while in 2010 it reported a loss of PLN 3.7 million. Additionally, Sfinks reached a positive EBITDA last year, which amounted to PLN 6.1 million, constituting an improvement of PLN 13.6 million in comparison with 2010, which ended with an EBITDA of PLN -7.5 million. This years’ plans of Sfinks for this year predict, among other things, further development of full scale restaurant chains for Sphinx and WOOK, as well as rebranding and other changes in the Chłopskie Jadło chain.

Sfinks Polska Capital Group, which manages the Sphinx, WOOK and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains, achieved a consolidated income from sales of PLN 83.6 million compared to PLN 83.5 million in the previous year, whereas the sales dynamics of the Group in Poland grew by (+)1.7 per cent. At the same time the Group noted significant growth in gross profit on sales, which in the first half of 2012 reached PLN 7.3 million and doubled the result form the first half of the previous year, which was PLN 3.6 million.

Sfinks Polska reached the consolidated income from the sales of 128 m. zlotys from January to September 2011, which means the increase by around 8% compared to the previous year. Three first quarters of this year brought 7,2 m. zlotys of gross profit from sales, the company lost 1,2 m. zlotys in the analogous period in 2010. What is more, after three quarters of this year, Sfinks may be proud of the positive consolidated EBITDA result of 4,1 m. zlotys compared to -6,9 m. zlotys in the previous year. The considerable improvement in the reported period was achieved in the case of other crucial financial categories – operating result (by 77%) and net result (by 60%). Regular improvement of Sfinks Polska results confirms the strengthening sales uptrend in the restaurants. Also, it shows a growing profitability of the group

Sfinks Polska, the company which manages the Sphinx, WOOK, and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains, has just opened new Sphinx restaurants in Zduńska Wola near Łódź, and Książ Wielki, located near the national road No. 7. Just a few days ago a new restaurant was also opened in the immediate vicinity of Cracow’s Market Square. Also in June, a new Sphinx launched in Zgierz. All four restaurants operate as franchises. As a result, a total of 7 new restaurants have been opened under the brand name Sphinx in the first half-year of 2012.

Sfinks Polska opens first Sphinx restaurant in Leszno. The restaurant based on the franchise model is located in Leszno Gallery at Konstytucji 3 Maja Avenue. It is the 14th restaurant opened by Sfinks Polska in this year.

Sfinks Polska Capital Group, which manages the Sphinx, WOOK, and Chłopskie Jadło restaurant chains, achieved a consolidated sales revenue of PLN 41.01 million in the first quarter of 2012, which means a similar level to the first quarter of the previous year, when a turnover of PLN 41.02 million was recorded. The first three months of 2012 also saw an improvement in the profitability of the restaurant chains. In that period, gross profit on sales rose by more than 60%, i.e. to PLN 3.7 million in comparison with PLN 2.3 million earned in the corresponding period of 2011.

Sfinks Polska has introduced an author’s programme of testing quality of services known as “Quality of Taste” in its restaurants. The programme is based on the rule similar to the „Secret Clinet’ test with the difference that any customer registered in Sfinks database and invited by the company to take part in the test may become the pollster of „Taste of Quality’. By sharing the opinions about the quality of meals, staff behaviour, and offered promotions, guests enter simultaneously to Sfinks appreciation programme. When guests give back their filled questionnaires, Sphinx in return gives them points which may be exchanged for attractive prizes such as: gift certificates to restaurants or SPA, game consoles , iPOD’s, or hot air balloon flight.
